What Does It Mean to Be Born Again?
The phrase "born again" is used in the Bible to describe the spiritual transformation that takes place when someone receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It is a process of being made new inwardly, by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says that we are all born into sin (Romans 3:23). This means that we are separated from God and that we are under His judgment. But God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. When we put our faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our sins and we are brought into a right relationship with God. This is what it means to be born again. It is a spiritual rebirth, a new beginning. It is a change of heart and a change of life.
How to Be Born Again
There is no one right way to be born again. But here are some basic steps that you can follow:
- Admit that you are a sinner
- Believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins.
- Repent of your sins and turn away from them.
- Ask Jesus Christ to come into your life and save you.
